Located just over 8 km from the city of Chiang Rai is the famous Wat Huay Pla Kung and its Big White Buddha of recent construction, which makes the resort one of the main attractions that has the city next to the famous White Temple or Wat Rong Khoun and the Black House or Baan Dam Museum Built by the Thai - Chinese community of Chiang Rai, the Wat Huay Pla Kung is a typical Chinese pagoda in the shape of decagon, of 9 levels or plants crowned the last of them with a giant Wooden Buddha statue 25 m high, unique in the region. To access the Pagoda you have to climb a spectacular staircase with dragon shapes. In the same precinct, but on its other side, there is the newly built Big White Giant Buddha.
