Hore Abbey in County Tipperary, Ireland. I stumbled upon the haunting ruins of this 13th century Cistercian abbey after visiting the Rock of Cashel nearby. In this photo I attempted to capture the contrast between the luscious life on the ground and the ancient abandonment of the grey abbey rock. That contrast along with the grey yet bright clouds gives, at the same time, a sense of sadness and loneliness as well as a sense of hope and a reminder of the persistence of life.
