Sacred Space This "anime-esque" face-off scene between Jesus Christ and Mother Mary was inspired by a perfect concoction of the location, setting, and lighting. First of all, we were shooting a TV show at a renown all girls Catholic college in the L.A., CA area. Second, it was actually really cold and raining hard outside and so we were told to go into a chapel that had these two bust sculptures at the entrance. Third, the crew had moved on to setting up the next shot and didn't take down the lights in the entrance at this point. In a moment of creative illumination I shot these two angles and put them in a collage app to split the two as if there is some confrontation or tense moment. It is a rather false yet spiritually conflicting moment in this church. It has become a Sacred Space
