Der Tetraeder (the Tetrahedron) in Bottrop, Germany, north of Cologne and west of Dortmund. The 60 m side length structure rests on four 9 m concrete pillars and was designed to be a lookout tower showing the diversity of the surrounding landscape. The steel construction sits atop an approximately 90 m high mining refuse heap, making it one of the highest points in the region.
