Once again combining my interests in both photography and origami, I decide this time to incorporate a lovely swan design into a landscape I took.
This little hen found her egg. I love combining origami with reality to make almost story book scenes.
Cascade falls in Moran State Park on Orcas Island. Forty or so feet of pure crystal clear water rushing on its way down to Cascade Lake.
I decided to get playful with jewelry and knick-knacks in the studio. These are the results.

A rock formation on Shoreline Beach in Santa Barbara. One of nature's abstract sculptures.
These diptychs are part of a photographic series I did that compares the man made to the nature made through similarity of shapes and textures.

This is a portion of Cascade Creek along the Cascade Trail at Moran State Park on Orcas Island. The hike is fairly easy, but what really makes the trip worth while are all the small waterfalls you pass as you make your way down trail towards Cascade Falls. Each waterfall you encounter along the way is as unique and beautiful as the geological formations of the rock (formed at least in part by a great glacier that sat in what is now Moran State Park) that the water rushes over. This particular formation sits about halfway between the northern trail head and Cascade Falls.

I've recently started combining my photographic skills with my love of origami.
Sunset over Los Juntas, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Walking along Damon Point beach in Ocean Shores I happened upon this piece of pier. At the time all sorts of debris was coming ashore from the tsunami that so tragicly hit Japan, that I felt the only way to photograph it was in black and white.
This is a scallop shell I photographed for a black and white study of shells I'm currently working on. You often find scallop shells of this kind depicted in paintings from the Itallion Renaissance such as Botticelli's Birth of Venus.

This is from a recent trip to the Puerto Vallarta Zoo. We were so close to the animals through out our walk that I never had to switch out my 50mm lens.
The paw of a worn stuffed animal left on a grave stone. Even after abstracting it with a macro lens, I still find this photo sad.
This is a black and white abstract photo of the opening in a conch shell that I took as a part of a black and white study of seashells.
Photographic wizardry. Bending and controlling light while playing with crystals.

Sandpipers in flight.

Looking down the length of the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on a Friday evening.

Damon Point beach as a storm moves in.
Summer Sunset viewed from the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.
A macro photo of leaf bud on a Lilly unfurling.
Not my most exciting work, but I figured what the heck.
This is a locals spot on Damon Point Beach in Ocean Shores. I'm afraid I can't tell you how to get down to this spot because I was sworn to secrecy by my friends who live there. Thankfully there's no problem with me sharing the photo.

My mom loves daisies. She's always hat them in her garden, so whenever I see them I think of her.
This was at the green house gardens in Volunteer Park in Seattle.
A macro photo of a yellow Lilly.
