Hold on to Me

First campfire of the year! A beautiful night for a family to gather around and enjoy one another, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories.

We brought home our new baby goat, Piper, today and she is adorable! A very happy girl, and quite ready for her close-up.

Moe, the Australian Shepherd dog, and Piper, the Mini-Alpine goat, meet for the very first time. I’m not sure who was less impressed with the other. After sniffing in each other’s direction they avoided each other for a while!

I love butterflies! I was struck by the beauty of the black and white wings set against the red flowers in this butterfly garden.

Moe is a rescue pup with some separation anxiety, so every chance he gets he will run and jump in the car, refusing to get out, until we just give in and take him with us. That face!

My husband and I spent our 20th anniversary in the magnificent mountains of West Virginia, reminiscing and looking forward. This image captured that feeling of that day: a solid foundation laid for our future and the vast land yet to explore!

At a butterfly garden this little beauty landed on the shoe of one of the girls in our group and just hung out there for awhile.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
