Definitely not to be missed is the mud bath in Rotorua's Hell's Gate, a unique Maori owned geothermal, cultural, and geothermal mud bath spa. Definitely recommended and very nice and smooth for your skin. Also advised, not to wear your newest bathing clothes. There is an undeniable "rotten egg smell" which will be there after washing your clothes a few times, you will also smell it for a while on your skin but that will dissappear after a few showers. After the mud bath take a cool plunge in a spring fed waterfall to refresh and cool off.
