I have always loved pictures taken throughout a woman's pregnancy but had never had the money to get them done. After unexpectedly becoming very much on my own while carrying my 3rd daughter, I decided that if I could make a person and bring it into this world all by myself, I could document my pregnancy by myself. My older girls have been so excited the whole way through. Almost as exciting to them as the progress of their little sister is how big the tattoo on my belly will get and whether or not it's going to "burst". We have daily belly checks which are sometimes multiple times a day now as the end is near. They argued their point with an eloquence possessed only by the very young when they convinced me to let them be in the 7-8 month pictures. They were concerned that "she will be lonely wondering why there's only a mommy in all the pictures. We'll never let her be lonely, right Mommy?" And I know that they never will because they have never let me be lonely, either.
