I saw it from the plane and it looked tiny. I walked up to it in person and it surprised me. The off-white tiles forming the lotus-leaf shaped panels were not the once imagined metallic grandeur I had in my mind. Unassuming yet warm in its invitation, the Sydney Opera House was a site to see yet felt strangely simple in sight, til I walked the Sydney Harbour Bridge. 🎼
