Just after sunrise this morning I took the most beautiful drive to South Miami. All the streets were shining with rain that had fallen the night before; dew still hanging from the leaves of the lush landscaping. Students of all ages walking, bussing to school, the luxury sedans and sports cars idling patiently. The sun came up above the trees, creating and shortening the shadows of the tall palms. I made my way to the Matheson Hammock Park, and found myself amongst mangroves and the quiet bustle of fisherman making their way out to fish from the small marina. And just through a small grove of trees is nested a small ocean pool. A woman walks the beach, two young people make their way into the water, we are peaceful. I take to the skies.
