My hero is my daughter, Sofia. I had tried to get pregnant for years, and finally in 2010 I found out I was going to be a mother. I had a bad marriage- we fought all the time and the only person I had to talk to was Sofia even though she was still in my stomach. My pregnancy was rough- I had Gestational Diabetes and was on 2 types of insulin... despite all my odds, on January 29th, 2011, after 11.5 hrs of laboring, I had an emergency C-Section and at 312am, I finally met the one person that gave my life meaning. The one person I already knew I couldnt live without and the only person I had. We had already been through so much, and she was this absolutely beautiful angel. Through the years, Ive battled many demons with depression, bipolar depression and social anxiety... and shes the only person that has stayed by my side through both good and bad days. She has taught me to be a better person and given me the strength to try again... she keeps me smiling when Im ready to give up... shes the reason why I continue to be a better person, not just for myself but for her too.
