The dining room of Hearst Castle. The table and chairs are from a European monastery. A continuation of the medieval theme. The wooden ceiling was also imported.
This is Nitt Witt Ridge in Cambria California. Just off the Highway 1 and very near Hearst Castle. It’s said to have been build from trash by artist Arthur Harold Beal.
There are few things more majestic or serene than the California Redwoods. This was before our train ride into forests of Santa Cruz.
I took this outside of the Redwood Bar and Grill in Los Angeles California. I love the colors and textures that this city has to offer a photographer.
The front guest house of Hearst Castle. There are several properties on the lot. William Randolph Hearst died before he could finish portions of the building.
The most famous pool and grotto of Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA. The home of print giant, and at one time, the wealthiest man in the world Mr Walliam Randolph Hearst. The pool is decked to the brim in marble in gaudy 1920’s style.
A reception area at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA. Whatever wasn’t imported directly from Europe was fabricated to look like medieval Europe had been brought to coastal California.
The cliffs and bridge of Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz California. Such serene scenery only found in California!
I really like this shot of the Santa Barbara Mission chapel. And the light that crosses the two windows.
The altar at the chapel of the Santa Barbara Mission. I like this photo because of the light
The Chapel inside the Santa Barbara Mission with it’s wooden pews. I always loved coming here when I lived down the road as a young man. I love old architecture!
This is Natural State Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz. It was so wonderful and chill, we stayed for hours just watching the waves rolling in from the picnic tables which are under some trees with branches that drape down like a curtain
The dome of Morro Bay. Just off the Highway 1. I was fascinated by what could have happened to make such a unique formation in such a location.
This is a band called Rah-Rah Rabbit, who I personally know. I didn’t do much editing to this one. This is what happens in dark bars with really saturating colored lights. It’s looks really cool, though.
The Santa Barbara Mission on a clear blue Santa Barbara day. With the Santa Ynez mountains in the background. Right across the street is a very well maintained rose garden if you’re ever in the area.
Shell Beach in Pismo. Beautiful white plateaus in the water full of birds.
A mother Seagull and her two chicks. Mother was a little annoyed because a squirrel kept getting too close to her babies.
This photo was taken at the Santa Barbara Mission. The statues are of the story of Jesus and the Good Sumeritan (the woman at the well). But I have my own name for this statue. You’ll have to message me for that one! Haha
The Rancho Guadalupe dunes. One of the most beautiful sights on my way up the California Coast to the Redwoods in Santa Cruz
Under the tree at Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz, California. Life was good eating lunch at the picnic table underneath this large draping tree
I took this photo outside the Redwood bar and grill. I could pass on the opportunity to capture the light and shadow on the facade.
My shepherd mix dog drinking water in black and white.
This is my Shepard mix dog drinking water. Love this guy!
