The Black Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye - During summer the beautiful Cuillin mountains watch over the village of Carbost on the Island of Skye in North-West Scotland. A touch of on the higher peaks hints at the temperature near the summits.

Oxeye daisies opening to the sun on a warm day in a Scottish field. Beautiful rays of sunlight were coming down in the afternoon as this photo was taken, and the flowers actually look as if they are smiling at the passers-by.

A bright summer’s eve at Loch Cluanie during the July heatwave of 2018. The lonely tree in the centre lightly hints at the extreme weather conditions this landscape experiences during the cold winter months as 90mph winds scot the snow-covered hills.

Stirling Bridge on the River Firth in Scotland This was taken on a warm spring day in the Scottish city of Stirling, while the Forth was shining in the sunlight and flowing away towards Edinburgh. The houses are a nice backdrop to the frame of trees.

A warm summer’s day in the Scottish Glen of Loch Cluanie paints a picture of peace and tranquility over the surrounding land. As the burn winds down the hill to the valley, the vivid green colours of old heather and new grass combine to make a moor.

Walkers in the Highlands of Scotland

The sun only just breaks through the cloud as it sets over the beautiful Drumochter Mountain Pass on the A9 in the Cairngorms area of the Highlands of Scotland. A long journey is ahead of any travellers that pass by, as the nearest village is 1/2 hr.

The picturesque mountain of Glamaig (775m) watches over the township of Sligachan on the Isle of Skye, the gateway to the Cuillin Hills, in Scotland. A bank of fluffy cloud clings to its base even though the main sky is cloudless and vividly blue.

Taken on the same day as my other photograph of Loch Cluanie, the blue clouds overshadowing the green, stony hill of the Glen Shiel valley hardly betray the fact that this was once the scene of a cruel battle that would mark history. Follow the burn!

A cloudburst hovers over the calm seas of Loch Bracadale, Struan on the Isle of Skye in Northwest Scotland. As several sun rays poke through the mist, the water gleams between each gentle wave. The Minginish peninsula provides the perfect backdrop.
