Travel in the Alps by Bike. Cyclists admire the church tower in Lake Reschen. Lake Reschen is the largest lake above 1,000 metres in the Alps.Located south of the Reschen Pass, in South Tyrol, Italy the area is popular with cyclists.

Dai Girl Cyclists in Xishuangbanna, China. This area in the deep south of Yunan province, bordering Burma and Laos, is inhabited by a dozen of the minority tribes; namely the Dai, Han, Hanni, Bulang, Lagu, Wa, Yao, Jinuo, Zhuang, Yi, Hui, and Miao.

Kurdish refugees at a muddy camp on the Iraqi border, during another crisis in their lives. The Kurds are an ethnic group in Western Asia, mostly inhabiting a region known as Kurdistan, which includes adjacent parts of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey.

Navigating the Grand Canal of China in Suzhou. Although many tourists come to Suzhou to visit numerous canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and intricately designed gardens, it's hard not to be impressed by the river traffic on the city's main waterway.

Twenty 20; the year of Covid-19, masks and travel restrictions. With a vaccine in sight we may soon be able to remove our masks, travel more freely and kiss our loved ones again. All is not doom and gloom if we always look on the bright side of life.

Market Day in Riobamba, Ecuador. Travel in Ecuador often means making the effort to arrive in certain towns on market day; or the night before. Visiting Ecuador's indigenous markets is so popular with tourists that day tours even depart from Quito.

At the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland the sun was out, the sky was blue and I was after a shot of a skier taking to the air. I searched for a good hill, with no trees in the background and focused ahead of the brow.

From Russia With Love. Romantic reunion between a Russian soldier and his girlfriend in Moscow's Red Square with The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed (Saint Basil's Cathedral) in the background. One service a year is held in the Cathedral, in October.

Golden facial jewellery on a bronzed Indian woman in Rajasthan, India. Of the many jewels an Indian woman displays around her body the nose ornament (nath) is perhaps one of the most eye-catching. The bindi, forehead jewel, is known as the third eye.

Malecon - Havana, Cuba. On the northern coast of the largest Caribbean island, the port of Havana is situated on one of the safest harbours in the world. Havana's 16th-century Fort Morro is in good condition and affords a wonderful view of the city.

Saint Petersburg, Russia. Saint Petersburg is located on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland; the easternmost arm of the Baltic. Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, Saint Petersburg became the imperial capital of Russia until 1918.

Statue of Liberty, New York City. Federally owned Liberty Island, in Upper New York Bay, is best known as the location of the Statue of Liberty. The copper statue was designed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel.
