A kinetic sculpture I made with the rear axel of my truck. It's called "Simplicity". It is an EXTREMELY complex machine built for the express purpose of adding a few simple numbers together. It's a tongue in cheek sarcastic reference to my grade school teachers who would look at me and say over and over "this is SIMPLE!" At a time when I was learning to deal with a disability I didn't even understand. This machine represents the complex machine that is behind the simple things like addition and subtraction in our minds. It represents the reality that the machine is complex and if it breaks or something goes wrong the simplest of tasks is hampered.
