I have no idea why this pic won't upload correctly but it is here and showed a sign clearly stating no vehicles despite the truck parking on the beach behind it- irony. or ironic it won't upload?
The original is an extraordinary work of art my mom made from small broken pieces of glass carefully places together on an antique window pane to create the fish. I did a split screen w/2 tone colour wash.
I took this photo while playing with a new fiber optic toy I bought online. I love the contrast of the bright red shades against a deep black background. Somehow the shot caught the movement as well.
e of 15 week old black Rottweiler puppy Gabriel snuggled in blankets on the bed. His cute, large brown eyes and black fur smiling!
This antique Stereoscope has been in my family for generations and it is wonderful. This is a shot as it sits now with one of several cards in the viewfinder.
This is a close up of a vintage paper weight from my grandfather's collection. I love the way the hand blown glass dances and the lights show refraction!
This is honestly a close up picture of my friend's "junk" drawer. I wanted something abstract with different colours and textures.
I added a different version of this same flower but here I highlighted only the pink colours and made the background shades of gray to show this lone blossom in winter.
This is the view from the tallest fire extension ladder on the firetruck. As an EMT Emergency First Responder volunteer I love getting to do the weekly equipment test to check out the entire city from over 8 stories up!
I only have my camera phone. it still enjoy trying to take interesting close up shots. This is the fresh ice been I snapped while.bored at work.
This is a hand carved wooden item in my friend's home. It has a solid base but open top and is hollow so perhaps it is a vase? It's definitely antique or vintage.
Another work photo- I was trying to catch a distorted reflection with a fish eye lens effect on the shot glass but using only my basic camera phone.
This is my sweet rescue squirrel, Frederik, who was sleeping in a blanket on my lap. She is now outside thriving in the wild!
I was asleep when this negative pic was shot by my friend who placed a mannequin's hands & extra arms on me. It came out in blue and yellow tones only. creepy.
This is the view from the dock where I bartend. I thought the silhouette of my co-worker looked interesting in contrast with the vivid colours of the waterway. Shadow play was best
This is an unfiltered picture taken on my older cell phone camera of the beach here in Eastern NC, USA during low tide. The sky a perfect cerulean blue against the tan sand w/ green sea oats! Summer beaches - vacation staycation
I don't normally photograph flowers but when searching "Pink" they show up. No filter was used but w/ limited editing on my camera phone I used the Spot Color optional carefully chose warm shades to return in contrast to the cool green toned leaves.
This is another angle of the pink skyline I saw after Hurricane Florence left our area in 2018. This was on a back country road where the flooding was held back and the grass still grew.
We keep seeing this giant moth on our porch but can't identify the species. It's as large as a lunar moth but the colours are warmer, especially the hidden pink spots on the wings. It was almost camouflaged but wouldn't move from the grout.
This is a free hand fish made of lots of pieces of broken, colored glass that were then glued together and placed on a glass window pane for a frame.
The other day at my bar someone balanced all of their change and it looked better in person than me cell could capture but I think it's worthy of posting.
This was me trying on a beautiful one of a kind, couture gold bracelet with the backlight from display case.
This is my front porch set up w/my missing cat's favourite things. Fuego &I have lived together over 16yrs &this is a first. The absence of colour reps my sadness & the bright spots rep him& happiness.
This is a side by side comparison of the same piece of Hackmanite, a form of fluorescent Sodalite that was found in Ontario.
I'm not sure why I like this picture so much; probably because of the bright red glass in the vase on the black and white background.
I finally got the strength to leave but it took over 2 years after this incident.
This is a canvas makeup bag where one side is the top portion and the reverse is the bottom. I spliced and made a split screen showing them both black and ivory.
This used to be a mailbox- Here in Wilmington, NC right after Hurricane Florence sat upon us for days we are digging out way out and these trees fell all around the box theat is usually bare!
I want to edit this picture but this app won't let me publish if I do so. This is a hidden crab I saw on my afternoon beach walk. He is alive &we made sure he had access to shade away from predators after taking the picture!
I took this picture while hosting an event at a #ShellStation but since I wasn't aware of the contest I didn't include logos etc. I just saw the pops of colour on the wine bottles and thought- Why not bubbles? - Cheers!
I love taking pictures that make an item appear to be something else or some other size and this cool whiskey bottle topper made a beautifully detailed shot- with my Samsung phone.
This is an antique hand blown glass bird. I "perched" it on the window then used black and white photography and contrast for the bird's tail and beak.
I saw this large snail moving quickly across the driveway and used my camera phone to snap shots in order to discover it was a Rosy Wolf Snail. They're carnivorous & it reared at my camera.
This is a mural at a local pub that I find super cool and underutilized! I tried to get the best angle showing the fire breathing down but realize I need to take it from a lower pov.
This is a vintage ex voto wooden cross with tin milagros attached from Mexico. I received it as a gift years ago and love the beauty but don't know what church to return the miracles too.
I dont know why I chose to snap a picture of this 1980's My Little Pony but I loved these toys and still have some&she looked pretty on the black&white background.
I randomly choose crystals from 2 bags each day to carry with me and today I picked the rough script jasper, smooth amethyst and tumbled dolomite
things as well and this is a shot under the bushes that has now exposed years of various sports balls lost by my brothers
This is what we ladies call "Shoe Porn" - when there is a new style we love or have to have! This is the back view in my closet of a corset back, faux snake skin stiletto
When I think of pink I think of the silliest shoes from when I was 18 years old. My first custom pair made 8" heels, pink glitter straps, cork wedges. Only worn twice and still look new but absolutely crazy!
