This is another fun shadow play picture taken the afternoon of the last official summer day.
Last spring I tried using perspective techniques with my cellphone camera and this an early attempt. I was in the grass as if the weeds were trees, used fading sunlight to capture pops of colour through the shadows.
I wish there was a way to "Guess this image" as it was taken accidentally &took me a few to figure out. I loved he colours and shapes though and posted the abstract.
This is 1 of 2 great picture to come from this evening's sunset. I love the pink and blue sky contrasting with the dark shadows!
I snapped this while driving around after Hurricane Florence devastated our area. The pink skyline at sunset is a good sign for"...pink sky at night; sailor's delight"
I've had this photo and waited to use it somewhere like the Cars With Soul contest. This junkyard wasn't beautiful but it stood out-the rust, bright paint, shadow play & profanity one what was once a family sedan were all ironically lovely.
I love my Lucky Cat from China! He is perched in front of a large mass of milky quartz crystal points on the table. I chose to make the background black&white so the vibrant paint would stand out.
My car was towed to a place sight unseen and this was what I saw when I arrived- I could only laugh! Heavy Metal. 1980's. Beater.
It was difficult to capture with my camera phone but the cloud pattern in contrast with the bright blue sky around the late day moon was so beautiful!
I took this picture of a lone flower, some sort of rose, to ask if it should be trimmed & decided to edit the background.
This picture says so much about my best friend, Gabriel and our favourite spot to hang out by the water and watch the sun rise or set; Rest in Peace.
While moving I saw this lone flower or weed in bright contrast with the dead leaves beside it and the blades of grass.
r debris piles seen all over neighborhoods as we are still cleaning and recovering from Hurricane Florence. #CapeFearStrong
It's American football season now and this is a toy mascot for my favourite NFL team, the Cincinnati Bengals. I've had this "NFL Huddle" since 1983 & still love him :)
I love the lines and shapes along with the reflections in purple. It's honestly an abstract pointless picture but I like it.
I have always liked playing these "claw" novelty carnival quarter to 50 cent games (now like $2) and used to always win so took this shot to show my friend's son what Ibwas bringing him for being good at the doctor.
Shut inside the small room of the new beach house I was able to barely see through the blinds at the historical older beach homes from decades past. This is right before Hurricane Florence is supposed to hit here tomorrow from Kure Beach.
I've been a vegan and animal lover since I could speak. This is one of my first buttons I bought & wore it for my 1st tv appearance.
So these are pretty random and one of a kind bc my great grandfather made them from scraps of metal he took while working on the cross continental railroad! He also painted them but w/out sufficient protectant back then they've cracked.
first day as an EMT from the bay of ambulance and camera did wierd exposure & colours I can't explain. It looked neat & captured calm before storm of emergencies.
This is very random but an actual every day sighting outside my closet: Godzilla holding a medal for Saint Christopher guarding the room. He was a meaningful gift given over 20 years ago.
I found the vintage Whiskey Girl hat at thrift store and love the N.C. state shape so I photographed &spliced.
opened on accident and is kind of silly when you realize what it is but the colours and angles looked cool so I figured I'd add it to my collection of abstract scenery.
When thinking of pink another favourite thought are the Southern Azaelia blossoms in spring right before the local festival. The contrast of purple and pink flowers against the greenery under no filter and bright sunlight make the natural garden pop
I'm hoping this pic takes a 45°right angle when submitting bc this homemade fireplace was captured upright, at night, using camera phone, trying to slow shutter speed for light trails. The flames danced so brilliantly I hope this isn't ruined.
Using my cell phone camera I snapped this top view of flowers in a vase my mom grew in her garden and brought me. The only editing was blacking out the background w/the standard free phone editor.
I took this photo outdoors at "pink dusk" when I was experimenting w/ my camera phone's contrast settings. No filter was used but the red tones were enhanced and the awkward shadow of my small frame carrying bulky equipment is real.
This wasn't intended to be a show picture but once I saw the bright blue contrast against the gray I enhanced the black with my camera phone as best as possible. There are no filters and this was taken before sunset on the beach in the summer.
Fuego, my orange tabby cat, in the grass on a sunny afternoon checking out some new crystals: celestite, yellow obsidian and porcelain jasper.
I was shopping and what I thought was a toy was a dying dragonfly. I took it outside and place on bright red flowers and took this picture. I loved the blue and red contrast w/ bright green leaves!
Preface: I do not allow my dog to drink soda- but since Mahgheetah was busted with my Cherry Vanilla Coca-Cola he had to re train thus inspiring a series of pics showing my bf he will NOT steal any more drinks. He is the best looking mascot though!
So it isn't a traditional romance but this is unconditional live between me and my service dog; Rottweiler Gabriel. It was after a photo shoot but no editing was done on my part from the cell phone camera. just sepia tones best friends, love forever
In a 15 minute time span the sky evolved from blue through a pastel colour palette to these vivid orange, pink &red clouds to end at navy. I stopped every 3 min. to photograph different clouds and trees etc.
I loved this lone magenta flower that was blooming out of season through the pinestraw bed. The bright pink petals contrasted the greenery and the pinestraw all made vivid scenery. I subtracted colour&added a few back 1 by 1 to create my 1st one.
This Cloud mission made me think of so many pics from my phone; thisne being from a road trip 2 yrs ago& I'd never seen anything like them. Cumulus, Cirrus, light, dark then the silver around the large barrel shaped cloud?
Since this is a beauty product mission I thought, Why not add an actual order of some of my favourite products from Tarte Cosmetics including 2 different volumizing mascaras& primer, eyeshadow palette, blush, brushes, pore minimizing primer and more
I took this photo using an older cell phone camera a few years ago when walking through a forest near my old home in NC. No filter, Sun rays caught w/shutter speed.
I didn't plan to take these photos but when I walked outside the cumulous and cirrus clouds were such a bright white contrast the the vivid blue sky I was inspired to use my phone to capture different angles and lines. This is just a straight view.
This is really bizarre looking because it is a perfectly dissected sheep's eye, retina, sclera etc. I am a life long vegan and animal rights advocate who never dissected until med school & using 1 for an entire lab-just saying...but it was strange!
